January 2021

We took a family trip to TC, since Covid we haven’t traveled much, and we needed a weekend away, with a pool that was open - in Michigan you have to go North, those are the open sectors.

If anyone is looking for something FUN to do.... head to Traverse City!!!!

The War Zone is such an amazing time!

Make sure to call ahead and/or sign up online! Spots are limited.

What a RUSH!!!!

We also went Bowling and Skating, things are starting to open back up, slowly and with lots of rules.and these SILLY MASKS!!!!!

December 2020

As 2020, is nearing the end... here are the top photos, mostly 4 per month in reverse order.

This year has been one of the strangest years to date: all events canceled, Montgomery having his accident which put us in Grand Rapids every week, and all that followed. We have been able to continue most of our Holiday traditions. The loss of my Grandma/Monty’s Great Nana, has made us re-evaluate how we spend time with people even through a pandemic.

2nd grade was strange, but at home we learned so much, now here’s to third grade!!!! You will do great things my son! So we’re ready for 2021 and to get back to some normal lifestyle again.

WHAT A YEAR!!!!!!!!

This 2020 has taught me so much!

This year we hit milestones and tears!

We had ends and beginnings.

We have learned that re-do’s are a way for God to say “learn from your mistake; try harder, do better!”

We learned that if you state facts and the truth; Good Things Happen!

We said Goodbye to some amazing people. We have held those we love with even more care than before.

With all this year dealt us......

Bring on 2021 and Peace Out 2020.

This is our Christmas Card and don’t check your mailbox ...... because we are living our life and you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit!

2020 virtual Christmas Card!!!

P.S. we do not have masks on because we reside in the same house 🤣😂😘

Miss Sawyer runs a 501c NonProfit in Ludington, Michigan, for Christmas she sends stockings: Monty wrote Merry Christmas on 100 stocking and helped fill and helped ship.

"Sawyer's Stockings" project is my biggest and most expensive project we do each year. It is so rewarding to get pictures and emails and messages from our Heroes all around the world, thanking my non-profit organization for thinking of them when they cannot be with their families. I have a wonderful supportive family, community and amazing grass roots following who have generously helped me with this incredible project as well as my many others throughout the year.

My Grandma

 November 11, 2020

Today My Grandma Bobeldyk went to her forever home in Heaven.

My Grandma was extraordinary!!

From family traditions, and all the memories we will always cherish. She was the sweetest, kindest and most Godly woman that I know.

We will cry the tears because we are sad, and it will be a rough time, but

we know she is completely healed and she had the most amazing welcome party this morning.

I will always love you Grandma and Montgomery will always love his Great Nana.

Please continue to pray for our family during this time.

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

October 2020

Covid is still a daily word. Masks in school, Monty doesn’t ride the bus anymore, masks to play outside soccer. What is this world we live in. I very thing that was canceled on the spring and rescheduled for fall has also been canceled.

Trick or treating did happen.

We have learned to adapt, we have learned that things change on a daily basis.

My Grandma is sick in Florida with Covid.

September 2020

If I could relive a holiday it would be Labor Day Weekend of 2020.

I’m thankful for my Grandparents.
I consider myself very lucky to have who I consider the coolest, most generous and loving grandparents around. Yeah, yeah everyone says theirs are 'the best,' but I'm serious - my grandparents are as good as it gets. They have all shaped who I am and make me want to be a better person every single day. I feel extremely blessed to say I have grown up with three incredible sets of grandparents, however, I recently lost my first grandparent. While I miss her, my grandma's death made me appreciate my time with the grandparents I still have. I will never be able to fully express the love and gratitude I feel towards my grandparents; but here’s a start.
Thank you for standing by my side and supporting every decision I make. It's nice to know that as I'm deciding who I want to be and where I want to end up, I will have unconditional support and love from you.
Thank you for basically turning your homes into mini museums of our family. From baby to graduation pictures, they remind me of all of our memories and offer me a sense of comfort that I can't find anywhere else.
Thank you for raising my parents and instilling positive values like integrity, commitment and faith in them. Because of you, they've provided me with a loving home and continually prove to be the best role models I could ever hope for.
Thank you for making sure I never (ever, ever, ever) leave your house hungry. Whether it's a big holiday or just a pop-in visit, I'm always guaranteed to be treated like a queen and fed amazing food.
Thank you for giving me a family I couldn't live without; my aunts, uncles and cousins have all had major impacts on my life, and I owe it to you for holding us all together.
Thank you for always putting family before yourselves and showing us how generous people can be. You never miss an opportunity to provide for others, and it is truly admirable.
Thank you for making sure all of your grandchildren feel equally loved and supported, even if that means going to four soccer games in one weekend.
Thank you for showing me what it means to rely on God and practice my faith. Your constant prayers mean everything to me and have helped me through difficult times in life.
These thank you's don't even begin to describe the love and gratitude I have for my grandparents. You all mean more to me than you'll ever know, so thank you for just being you.
———————
It took me a long time to realize that I was born into an extraordinary family, Thank you for so many family traditions and memories. For all you do everyday to be such an amazing woman. You are the sweetest, kindest woman that I know! Enjoy this day, knowing that you are loved by me (and Montgomery).❤️

September 24

UPDATE: 3 months ago.... was probably the worst day of my life. This kid is truly my hero! With all that he overcame, with all that he missed this summer and to see how amazing bodies heal themselves.

Montgomery Gene, You are my Greatest Adventure, My Best Friend; I love you to the moon and back!🐺 ahrooo! To Infinity and Beyond!

His legs are healed! They have been since August 14th; which was our last trip to the Medical Mile in Grand Rapids. He still applies lotion and sunscreen multiple times a day!

Since June 24th; our world has been like a rollercoaster, we’ve had so many ups and downs, but the one thing we’ve always had is each other. This accident has taught me about patience & about how I cannot control situations. It has taught me to pray harder and in detail. It has taught me that if you are doing the right thing, all things will work out.

God's never early, never late, but always on time. ... God's perfect timing does two things: It grows our faith as we are forced to wait and trust in God and it makes certain that He, and He alone, gets the glory and praise for pulling us through. "My times are in Your hands ..." Psalm 31:15
